Practice Areas

  • Real Estate Transactions and Closings
    • The Office handles the complete residential real estate transaction/closing throughout Massachusetts (in all counties and towns/cities) for buyers, sellers, refinance borrowers and mortgage companies and banks (lenders). Closings often take place at the office or at the Registry of Deeds.
    • We regularly close loans for the following preferred lenders: Prestige Home Mortgage, Reverse Mortgage Funding, Milford Federal Bank, and Franklin Mortgage. We are also regularly approved by other lenders to close loans on an as-needed basis (if you are not using one the above preferred lenders, please ask your lender if we can close your loan).
  • Criminal Defense (including OUI’s or Drunk Driving)
    • The Office represents clients who are charged with misdemeanors and felonies within the jurisdiction of each of the the District Courts in Massachusetts. These matters regularly reach trial status– either a jury trial or a bench (judge) trial.
  • Wills and Trust
    • The Office handles common “estate planning needs” for clients throughout Massachusetts: Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, Trusts.
  • Probate of Estates
    • The Office handles the Formal and Informal Probate of Estates and Voluntary Administrations for Massachusetts estates.
  • Personal Injury (MV Accident)
    • The Office represents clients who have sustained personal injury within Massachusetts (most commonly in motor vehicle accidents). While these cases often settle out of court, some cases are litigated (District and Superior Courts) and others are resolved through Arbitration.
  • PRICING AND FEES and CONSULTATIONS
    • Pricing and legal fees vary significantly among the different practice areas. Some fees are flat fees, some are hourly and personal injury cases are contingent fees.
    • After initial consultation, a fee agreement will be discussed with the client and it will be reduced to writing. Before any work is commenced (and before any fee is incurred), the client and the attorney will agree upon the scope and price.
    • Very often, clients “consult” with an attorney before hiring the attorney; that is a practice which is highly encouraged. Every client should get to know his/her/their attorney. We like to get to know our clients and the initial meeting helps us as well. We normally offer free consultations for this reason.
